Purpose of an oil/water separator

An oil / water separator is installed as part of the compressed air system. It reduces oil concentration in collected condensate to a level permitted for discharge. This ensures compliance with environmental requirements.

Once oil saturated condensate has been effectively removed from a compressed air system, it cannot be discharged directly to the sewer. The oil content must first be reduced to within legal limits. The separator performs this function reliably.
